Lot 1:  Construction of 260 km Double Circuit 132 kV Tororo-Lira transmission line
Lot 2:  Construction of 160 km 132 kV Double Circuit Mbarara-Nkenda transmission line and associated Substations including Reactive power compensation

1. This invitation for prequalification follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in UNDB online on 19th February, 2009 and on the African Development Bank Group’s   Internet Website.

2. The Government of Uganda has received Financing  from  the  African Development Fund toward the cost of the  Mbarara  – Nkenda & Tororo  – Lira Transmission Lines Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Financing to payments under the contract for

Lot 1: Construction of 260 km Double Circuit 132 kV Tororo-Lira transmission line,

Lot 2: Construction of 160 km 132 kV Double Circuit Mbarara-Nkenda transmission line and associated Substations including Reactive power compensation,

Pre Qualification Document Fee: Uganda Shillings 240,000 or USD 100.
Last date of submission of prequalification application: 02nd August 2011
