Scope of Work/Description:

Qatar Petroleum requires a thin client solution for its OGV (Oil and Gas Ventures) applications that will enable complex graphical images (text, 2D and 3D) to be downloaded rapidly and seamlessly to a user workstation. These applications are hosted in the RAA IT Data Center, and are accessed by remote user workstations in various locations in Doha over the QTel ISP network infrastructure. An enhanced solution is required due to the growing demand from OGV users for improved desktop, workstation and visualization performance. This enhancement to our current data delivery mechanism should overcome the specific performance issues we have been experiencing with our legacy data transfer mechanisms. In addition, this will ensure fast data delivery to the users' desktops and workstations.
