Maharashtra State Power Generation Company
Limited (MSPGCL), a State owned power generation company, hereby invites “Expression
of Interest (EOI)” from interested parties with adequate technical experience
and financial capability for Joint Venture formation for development of 3200
MW(4x800MW) power plant based on super-critical technology at MIDC’s Veldur
Industrial Area near Dhopave Village, District Ratnagiri, Maharashtra State.
The Project proposes to supply power to MSEDCL and envisages sourcing of coal
from Machhakata coal block in Orissa though sea route.
Expected role of Joint Venture Partner:
Development and implementation of the Project
Environmental clearance for the Project and Jetty
Fuel Transportation/ logistics including
construction of captive Jetty
Equity Investment
Operation and Maintenance of Power Plant
EOI is invited from interested parties with
adequate financial capability to develop and operate the power project. Companies
are expected to have power project development experience of at least 2000 MW,
out of which 500 MW project should have commence commercial operation (only
projects where EPC has been awarded and NTP issued would be considered).
Companies are also expected to have a net worth of INR 1600 Crore (any of the
last three years). Development / Operational experience of port/ jetty is desirable.
The EOI must reach to the Executive Director (Finance)
Mahagenco before 5:00 P.M. on or before 21st June 2010.
