1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business, issue no. WB2063-70407 of June 16, 2007.

2. The Ukraine has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development toward the cost ofPower Transmission Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the Contract for the “Modernization of 330 kV Simferopol Substation”.  

3. The State Enterprise National Power Company “Ukrenergo” now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for under the Contract for the “Modernization of 330 kV Simferopol Substation”.

4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, Procurement of Plant Design, Supply, and Installation (April 2008, revised August 2010) and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

6. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 300 (three hundred) USD or equivalent in UAH, and includes expenses for duplication, delivery via registered express courier and communication services (VAT inclusive and exclusive of Bank commission and other fees, which shall be paid by the bidder).

7. Bids must be delivered to the office at the address, given above, on or before 3:00 pm, Kyiv time on September 1, 2011 and must be accompanied by a security of 130 000 US$ or their equivalent in a convertible currency.
