General Procurement Notice: Yap State Public Service Corporation Tender Renewable Energy Development Project

Project No. 44469-013 FSM: Yap Renewable Energy Development Project

The Yap State Public Service Corporation (YSPSC) has applied for a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to help finance the cost of the Yap Renewable Energy Development Project.

The Project will support the development of the power system in the State of Yap, Federated States of Micronesia in order to reduce dependency on imported diesel. This will be achieved through the expansion of renewable power generation and improving the supply side efficiencies of power delivery.

The proceeds of the loan are intended to be used for the procurement of the following:

(i) through International Competitive Bidding procedures

Transformer

Solar Panels

Inverters and Electrical Equipment

Diesel Generator and Ancillary Equipment

Wind Farm Construction

The first batch of bidding documents for the above items is expected to be available on or about 1 October 2012, subject to a nominal charge.
