Procurement
Notice
This
Specific Procurement Notice follows the General Procurement Notice for this
project which appeared in UNDB issue No. 792 dated February 16, 2011.
The
Government of Arab Republic of Egypt has secured a loan from the African
Development Bank (ADB) in the amount equivalent to USD 550 million, and intends
to apply part of the proceeds of the financing to cover eligible payments under
the Contract for the design and supply of the Critical Piping and Valves
Package for Suez Thermal Power Plant.
Bidding
is open to all Bidders from eligible member countries as defined in the ADB’s
Rules and Procedures for Procurement of Goods and Works (May 2008 edition).
East
Delta Electricity Production Company (EDEPC), a wholly owned subsidiary of the
Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC), has invited International Bidders
to submit Bids for the design, fabrication, furnishing, delivery, transport to
the site and technical assistance during installation and commissioning of the
Critical Piping and Valves. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to
the following:

Pipe
Spools for Main Steam System, Feedwater System, Extraction Steam System,
Auxiliary Steam System and Boiler Feed Pump Turbine system.

Control
Valves, Valves and Valve Actuators.

Pipe
Supports.
-
Thermocouples
and Thermowells.
-
Flow
Elements.

Bid
Document Fee: A non-refundable fee of USD 1,000.
Bid
Submission Date: The Bid must be submitted on November 25, 2012 in two
Envelopes. Envelope A must contain all the required information, except the
price schedules, and must be accompanied by a Bid Security in an acceptable
form equal to USD 300,000, valid for 28 Days after Bid opening. Envelope B must
include the price schedules. Bids shall be valid for a period of 180 Days after
Bid opening.
