EXPRESSION OF INTERST (EoI) FOR WAVE ENERGY PROJECT

 

Director General, Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) has invited “Expression of Interest” from interested project developers for taking over & commissioning the Wave Energy project at Budhal, Tal. Guhaghar, Dist. Ratnagiri on “as is where is basis” on the following terms and conditions.

1. Project developer should submit the expression of interest after conducting survey & inspection of the said project at his own cost.

2. Project developer or his technical collaborator should have the experience of installation and commissioning of wave energy power generation project. Selected technology should be techno-commercially proven.

3. Project developer should install the project at his own cost by considering its commercial aspects.

4. Project developer should have an annual turnover of minimum Rs.100 Crores.

5. Preference shall be given to the project developer who is ready to install and commission the project of maximum capacity within minimum time period and who is also ready to give maximum energy units to MEDA as Royalty.

6. Project developer shall deposit Rs 1 Crore as interest free security deposit with MEDA. This security deposit shall be forfeited in case project is not installed & commissioned within the stipulated period.

7. Project developer shall be fully responsible for all liabilities during the survey, testing, installation & commissioning of the project.

8. Project developer shall be responsible for the acquisition of leased land taken for the project & also for the acquisition of additional land, if required, for the project.

9. Along with the EOI, the Project developer shall furnish detailed information about technology that will be used for implementation/commissioning of the project and details of projects installed and commissioned based on this technology.

10.Project developer shall fulfil all legal requirements and obtain necessarypermissions/sanctions required for the project installation from appropriate authorities and also shall be responsible for implementation of concerned regulations.

11.The selected Project developer shall sign Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with MEDA.

With reference to the above terms and conditions the Expression of Interest should be submitted by the Project developer on or before 15th December, 2012 at the above address during office hours. MEDA reserves the right to accept or reject any one or all of the Expressions of Interest without assigning any reason thereof.
