Cairn India EOI; Global EOI for participation in EPC tender for Integrated Balance Works at Mangala Processing Terminal, Barmer – EPC 3

Cairn Energy India Pty Ltd. (“CEIL”) is the Operator on behalf of its Joint Venture Partners namely Cairn Energy Hydrocarbons Limited and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for the Contract Area RJ-ON-90/1 at Barmer in the State of Rajasthan (Block). The Block contains a number of major oil discoveries namely Mangala, Bhagyam, Aishwariya, and other fields. The Mangala field is the largest onshore oil discovery in India since 1985. The Mangala field is currently producing 125,000 bopd and the developments of Bhagyam and Aishwariya are progressing well. Mangala Processing Terminal (MPT) is the common processing hub for Mangala, Bhagyam, Aishwariya and other smaller fields.

CEIL proposes to augment the capacity of the MPT by addition of Water Injection Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Filters, Vapour Recovery Blowers and Compressors, Fuel Gas System and Piping Header Modifications (“Project”). In view of this expansion of MPT, CEIL on behalf of its Joint Venture Partners seeks an Expression of Interest under International Competitive Bidding (“ICB”) process from reputed contractors (Indian & International) with demonstrated performance for pre-qualification to participate in ICB process for execution of the work on EPC basis. 

Broad scope for the successful Contractor shall include verification of the Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) package, Detailed Design, Procurement, Expediting, Inspection, Testing, Construction, Installation, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Performance Testing of the Project. Major facilities to be developed under this Project are:

Injection water filtration package with process performance guarantee for removal of oil and particulate matter from injection water complete with dedicated control system and its integration with existing filter system.

1 No. Injection Water Booster Pump skid with vertical can type pump package (Electric Motor driven), capacity ranging from 350 m3/hr to 1400 m3/hr, and differential pressure ranging from 500 kpa to 1000 kpa and its integration with existing similar units.

3 Nos of Injection Water Main Pump Skids with capacity ranging from 350 m3/hr to 800 m3/hr  with differential pressure ranging from 7000 kpa to 12000 kpa and its integration with existing similar units.

1 No. Injection water–steam heat exchanger.

Vapour Recovery Compressor and blowers skid with associated auxiliaries like coolers, lube, seal oil system and its integration with existing similar units.

Modifications to the exiting fuel gas, flare, steam systems.

All associated civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and control, telecom, F&G and fire fighting works as required.

Structural adequacy checks and modifications to accommodate the new lines.
