The Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) Tender for Kunduz-Taloqan Transmission Line Project

The Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, ( "the Employer"), has invited sealed bids from eligible Bidders from member countries of ADB for the design-build and turnkey contract (including Design, supply and installation, testing and commissioning) for the Kunduz - Taloqan Double Circuit 220 kV Transmission Line Project. The Scope of Works is briefly described as follows and details and specifications are provided in the Bidding Document:

1. Construction of about 73 km Double Circuit (three phase, two wire per phase configuration) 220 kV Transmission Line originated from New Kunduz 220 kV Substation to New 220 kV Substation at Taloqan.
2. Construction Preliminary works (Design, Detail survey including route alignment and profiling & plotting, right of way identification and clearance, tower spotting, optimization of tower locations, soil resistivity measurements, geotechnical investigations)
3. Supply of Steel lattice towers, Conductors, OPGW, Insulators, Hardware and fitting accessories
4. Construction of Foundations, Tower Erection, Stringing and Final Tensioning of Conductors and OPGW, Grounding works, testing and commissioning.
