NOTICE INVITING TENDER (NIT)

OPEN TENDER NOTICE NO. VSP- 17 of 2012-13 DATED 07.06.2012

Vizag Steel, RINL has invited sealed tenders in the prescribed form experienced contractors for the following work:

1. Name of the work:

Static Excitation Equipment (SEE) for one number of 7.5 MW Generator at Back Pressure Turbine Station (BPTG-2) and one number 12 MW Generator at Gas Expansion Turbine Station (GETG-2). Spec no: VSP/DEE-SEE-001 R1.

Rs.1200/-	Rs.1350/-	Six (06) months from the date of issue of Fax LOA. (However, Supply shall be completed within three (03) months from the date of issue of Fax LOA)	Rs.75,000/-

2. Brief scope of work:

The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, inspection, supply, storage, site handling, installation, testing, commissioning and integration of complete static excitation system with the existing systems.

3. Procurement of tender document:

The tender document can be procured/ obtained -

i) By downloading from VSP web site www.vizagsteel.com

ii) By hand (i.e., collection in person)/ by post from the office of GM (Proj. Contracts), Project Office, A-Block, Room No. 9, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Visakhapatnam-530031 on a written request on bidder’s letter head and payment of tender cost as above.

iii) Last date & time of receipt and issue tender document in person/by post up to 17.00hrs (IST) on 04.07.2012

Cost of Tender documents(s) shall be paid in the form of Demand Draft/Pay Order/Bankers Cheque obtained from any Nationalised or scheduled bank drawn in favour of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd., Visakhapatnam Steel Plant payable at Visakhapatnam. No other mode of payment will be acceptable.

4. Date, time & place of submission:

Tenders will be received in the Office of GM (Proj. Contracts), Project Office, “A” Block, Room No.20, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Visakhapatnam 530031 up to 14.30 hrs (IST) on 11.07.2012.
